Marathoner

We have been in DC for the last week touring and sightseeing before dad ran his LWB Marine Corps Marathon today. He did fabulous today and we are so ridiculously proud! He finished in 5hours 19minutes! This was his very first marathon and race of any kind so he did great!
We are waiting to fly home now so please pray for safety. More of a post and a lot of pictures to come!
Do me a favor and congratulate my dad for running 26.2 miles for orphans in China?
He raised over $3000 for love without boundaries and the children in China who need surgery. He changed the lives and stories of orphans and we couldn't be prouder!

  1. Thank you, thank you! LWB is trying to help our little one right now...w/o people like your dad, LWB would cease to exist!! Thank you!

  2. Wow! What an accomplishment ~ both in preparing for a 26.2 mile run AND raising so much for LWB! I started to train for a half-marathon a few years back (and had an ankle injury that stopped my training) so I have half an idea what a commitment getting ready for a race is. My hat is off to your dad!
