celebrate

yesterday we celebrated good times with good people.

it was lovely.

{already go ahead and excuse the iPhone photos...i'm so slack}

we celebrated Chinese New Year and Andrew's 2 year Gotcha Day

We got to celebrate with our sweet travel buddies, the Perry's who hold a special place in all of our hearts. We LOVE them. They are so great.

SO MollyClaire and Andrew were reunited.
We ate good Chinese food

Played games

and finished off with Yogurt Mountain

              Side Note {even Ting got to join in! She is allergic to all dairy and egg products making it          hard to find sweets/ice creamish things she can eat...Does any one have any suggestions on allergy foods and what we could be 'rewarding' her with? We feel so bad when she can't eat brownies or ice-cream and so badly wants them}

Anyways, we had a fabulous time last night and loved celebrating our sweet boy and MollyClaire! What an amazing 2 years it has been!

  1. Ashton, I know this may sound yucky, but I saw a browine recipe on pinterest today where you puree a can of black beans with water and add into mix instead of oil and eggs. Let me know if you try it :)

  2. Some people use apple sauce instead of egg and it works. You may also want to look for egg replacer. My nephew had an allergy to eggs and that us what we used. I'm sure you'll figure something out for the brownie area you just have a few more steps to make them. For the ice creamish stuff you could try SO ice cream it is made with coconut milk we also used it for my nephew. That's just a few things if you have any more requests for info just post and if I see it I will be glad to try to answer.

  3. I just happened upon your blog while reading Ni Hao Y'all. We are at the I800a stage of our China adoption journey. The reason I'm writing is I have a suggestion for an ice cream substitute and I eat it frequently and it really does taste just like ice cream. Yonanas (http://www.yonanas.com). It is a machine that purees frozen bananas (or any other fruit you choose). No sugar or dairy or anything added and it tastes and looks like ice cream. Anyways, hopes that helps!
